We’re delighted you’ve chosen Local Co and Localier to assist with your travel plans, and we’re committed to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To ensure a smooth experience, we’ve put together these terms and conditions to provide clarity on our role and to outline what you can expect from us. By booking with us, you acknowledge that you’ve reviewed and agree to these terms. Our goal is always to facilitate an easy, stress-free booking process while ensuring transparency at every step.

1. Our Commitment to You

At Local Co and Localier, we strive to make every interaction positive, smooth, and efficient. From the moment you begin browsing properties to the final checkout, we’re here to facilitate your short-term rental experience. We take pride in providing a platform where travelers can easily connect with property owners and secure amazing stays.
Our role is to help facilitate the reservation and ensure you have access to the property for the agreed period. It’s important to note, though, that we don’t own or manage the properties listed on our platform. As such, our commitment ends after we help you secure the booking and ensure you have everything needed to access the property.

We’ve designed these terms with your best interests in mind and encourage you to contact us anytime for clarification—we’re here to help!

2. Your Booking Experience: Hassle-Free and Clear

We’re here to guide you through the booking process with ease. Once you’ve selected the perfect property, we’ll handle everything from confirming the reservation to providing access instructions. Should you have any questions at any stage, rest assured we’re only a message away.

Since we act as a third-party intermediary, any issues or contentions regarding the property (such as the condition of the space, utilities, or specific requests) are the responsibility of the property owner. This helps ensure that you receive the fastest and most accurate responses, as the owner knows the property best. We are here to help at every step of the way however. In the unlikely event that you encounter a concern, we’ll do our best to assist by facilitating mediation with the owner. However, please note that all matters regarding the property itself are the responsibility of the owner. Any legal dispute is subject to the local laws and procedures. 

3. Our Focus on Safety and Security

Your safety is our top priority, and we work hard to connect you with trustworthy property owners. While we do everything we can to ensure that you have a positive experience, it’s important to recognize that we don’t manage the day-to-day operations of the properties listed on our platform.

As a third-party service provider, Local Co and Localier are not responsible for the safety, security, or maintenance of the property during your stay. However, we believe in transparency and want to ensure you feel secure throughout your trip. If you ever have questions or concerns about the property, please let us know.

We recommend that you take a moment to familiarize yourself with the property when you arrive. It’s always a good idea to locate the nearest exits, ensure that smoke detectors and other safety features are functioning properly, and confirm that the property meets your personal safety standards. Your comfort and peace of mind matter to us.

4. Limitation of Liability: Focus on Enjoying Your Stay

We understand that travel can sometimes come with unexpected bumps in the road, and while we do our absolute best to ensure a smooth experience, there are some things outside our control. By booking through Local Co and Localier, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur during your stay. This includes, but is not limited to, unforeseen incidents such as personal injury, property damage, theft, amenity interruptions or natural occurrences like storms or power outages.

While we’ll always do our best to assist, we cannot take responsibility for the property itself or any issues that may arise during your stay. We encourage you to reach out immediately  for assistance, we are here to support you in any way we can along the way.

5. Ensuring a Seamless Check-In and Check-Out

We know that getting settled in quickly and easily is an important part of any trip. That’s why we work closely with property owners to make sure you have all the information you need before your arrival. From check-in instructions to any special requirements, we’ve got you covered.
We recommend reviewing the check-in and check-out times carefully and planning your arrival and departure accordingly. If you’re running late or need a little extra time to check out, feel free to ask us. Most are flexible and happy to help when possible, but it’s always best to communicate early. Please be mindful that staying beyond the agreed check-out time without approval may result in additional charges to cover any inconveniences or disrupted bookings for future guests.
We’re committed to making sure you feel prepared, and we’re always available to answer any questions you may have leading up to your stay.

6. Cancellations and Flexibility: We’re Here to Help

We know that plans can change, sometimes unexpectedly, and we want to make the cancellation process as smooth as possible. 
Refund Policy:  All reservations are final, and any refund is at the discretion of Local Co. This policy ensures that we maintain fairness and clarity for all our guests. We encourage you to review all details of your booking before confirming, as changes or cancellations may not be eligible for a refund.

7. Maintaining Peace and Quiet: Respect for the Property and Neighbors

Our goal is to ensure that all our guests have an enjoyable and respectful stay. As part of your booking, we ask that you follow all house rules and be considerate of the property and neighbors.
Each property has its own set of guidelines, which may include limits on noise levels, guest capacity, and the use of certain amenities. We kindly request that you respect these rules, as they help maintain a positive atmosphere for everyone. In particular, we ask that you keep noise to a minimum during evening hours and avoid hosting large gatherings unless specifically allowed by the property owner.

We believe that clear communication and mutual respect lead to the best experiences, and we trust that you’ll enjoy the property responsibly.

8. Property Condition and Responsibilities

When you arrive at your destination, we’re confident that you’ll find the property clean, comfortable, and ready for your stay. However, should you encounter any issues with cleanliness, maintenance, or anything else, we will be your primary point of contact for addressing these concerns.

As a guest, you are responsible for treating the property with care and respect. Accidental damage happens, and if it does, we encourage you to notify us right away. This allows for timely repairs and ensures that future guests enjoy the same high-quality experience. Depending on the situation, repair costs may be deducted from your security deposit or charged separately.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to maintain the property’s condition.

9. Traveling with Pets or Special Requests

We know that many guests love traveling with pets or have specific needs during their stay, and we’re happy to assist where possible. Each property has its own rules regarding pets and special accommodations, so it’s a good idea to check with us  ahead of time. We want to make sure that your needs are met and that the property is suited to provide a great experience for you and your furry companions (if applicable).

We’re always here to help with any special requests or questions you may have, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.

10. Communication is Key: We’re Always Here for You

We pride ourselves on being accessible and approachable, and we encourage open communication throughout your stay. Whether you have a question before arrival, need help coordinating, or simply want local recommendations, we’re happy to assist in any way we can.
Our team is dedicated to providing you with exceptional service, and your satisfaction is our top priority. We understand that travel can come with its own set of challenges, but we’re confident that with clear communication and a little planning, your stay will be stress-free and enjoyable.

11. Governing Law and Agreement to Terms

To ensure that all interactions are handled smoothly, these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any legal matters that may arise will be settled in the appropriate courts of Mexico City, Mexico.
By completing a booking with Local Co and Localier, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agreed to these terms. We’re here to provide a positive experience and ensure that everything goes according to plan, and we’re always happy to assist with any questions.

12. A Positive Experience from Start to Finish

At the end of the day, our goal is to make sure you have an amazing stay, from the moment you book with us until your check-out. We’re here to make things simple, transparent, and enjoyable, and we’re confident that with a little preparation, your stay will be exactly what you’re hoping for.

13.⁠ ⁠Reservation Finality and Modifications

All reservations made through Local Co and Localier are considered final upon confirmation. Once a booking is confirmed, it is non-refundable unless otherwise decided at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to determine whether any refund, partial or full, will be granted based on individual circumstances.

Similarly, any requests for modifications, alterations, or changes to the reservation—such as changes in dates, length of stay, or property selection—are entirely at our discretion. While we will do our best to accommodate such requests when possible, we are under no obligation to approve or facilitate changes once a reservation has been confirmed. Any changes made, if permitted, may be subject to additional fees.
